Location

The Institute of Governmental Studies is located on the first floor of Moses Hall (ground floor if you are entering at the level of the east courtyard; one floor down if you are entering from the north side of the building). Public Parking Options

Campus parking is very limited. Virtually all campus parking spaces are reserved for permit holders during peak hours on Monday through Friday until 5:30 pm. UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation encourages the public to choose City over University parking facilities and to take advantage of public transit when possible.

Directions to IGS

Northbound 101 (or San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport, or the Peninsula)

• Follow 101 North and then switch to 80 East, San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
• After the Bay Bridge, exit to I-80 East (Berkeley/Sacramento)
• Exit on University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street
• Right onto Oxford (Oxford will turn into Fulton as soon as you cross Bancroft)
• Left onto Durant
• Left onto Bowditch
• Left onto Bancroft
• Right onto Barrows Lane
• Right when Barrows Lane hits dead end
• Moses is on the left across the small bridge over Strawberry Creek

Highway 24

• Exit at Claremont Avenue
• Take College Avenue exit and continue on College about 2 miles
• Left onto Bancroft
• Right onto Barrows Lane
• Right when Barrows Lane hits dead end
• Moses Hall is on the left across the small bridge over Strawberry Creek

580 West

• Exit I-80 East (to Berkeley/Sacramento)
• Exit at University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street
• Right onto Oxford (Oxford will turn into Fulton as soon as you cross Bancroft)
• Left onto Durant
• Left onto Bowditch
• Left onto Bancroft
• Right onto Barrows Lane

880 North (or Oakland International Airport)

• If coming from the airport, take Hegenberger Road or 98th Avenue to Highway 880 onramp
• Stay in left center lanes
• Exit 80 East (to Berkeley)
• Exit at University Avenue
• Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 2 miles to Oxford Street
• Right onto Oxford (Oxford will turn into Fulton as soon as you cross Bancroft)
