Dinner Event Info:

The IGS National Advisory Council will feature David Gergen and Peter Hart at its Salon Dinner on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 6 to 9:00 p.m. in the Julia Morgan Ballroom of the Mercantile Exchange Building (15th floor) in San Francisco. David Gergen is Senior Political Analyst at CNN and Professor of Public Service at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Peter Hart, one of the leading analysts of public opinion in the United States, is chairman of Peter D. Hart Research Associates and Lead Pollster with the NBC/WSJ Poll.


Seating at the IGS Salon Dinner is limited. Please see below for further details. The dress code for this event is business casual. Tickets will be held at the registration table located at the entrance to the Ballroom for pickup on the day of the event beginning at 6 pm.


Of Special Note:

Please join us in celebrating Mr. William K. Coblentz ('44), recipient of the IGS Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Coblentz is Senior Partner at the law firm of Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP and serves on the board of directors of the McClatchy Newspapers and the Koret Foundation.




Mr. Grant T. Harris ('98) will also receive the IGS Outstanding Young Alumni Award at the Gala event. Mr. Harris serves as Policy Advisor to UN Ambassador Susan Rice and is a graduate of UC Berkeley, Princeton and Yale.


Mr. Coblentz and Mr. Harris will receive these awards during the Gala event.

All proceeds will go toward supporting student programs and activities at IGS. All tickets sold are considered tax deductible as allowable under federal and state laws.

6:45-7:45 pm - Talk by David Gergen and Peter Hart, and Q&A

7:45-9:00 pm - Dinner and awards ceremony
