This bibliography was prepared for the conference, "California's 'Blanket/Open' Primary: Natural Experiment in Election Dynamics" held at the Institute of Governmental Studies on June 26, 1998. It is in two parts: journal articles and documents, and selected newspaper articles dating from the campaign for Proposition 198, the March 1996 statewide initiative that enacted the open primary.
