Six Gardner Fellows -- three from Stanford and three from UC Berkeley -- are selected each spring. They begin 10 months of full time work at a U.S. nonprofit or government agency starting in the fall after graduation. Each fellow is matched with a distinguished leader in public service who guides the student's professional growth and development and provides opportunities and exposure that exceed what is normally available to a recent graduate.
