Private support for the Institute of Governmental Studies is essential. Recent cutbacks in state support for the University means we must rely more on private donors for ensuring our students and faculty have access to first-rate resources and facilities. Only 12% of the IGS budget comes from University sources, so private support is vital to ensuring our excellence.

• Student fellowship programs that offer graduate and undergraduate students expanded opportunities to compete for awards that advance their careers in research and public service
• Student internships in the public and non-profit sectors that promote civic leadership training opportunities for students seeking to get more involved in public service
• Library services that provide researchers with the most cutting edge resources and expertise
• Public education and outreach on the most pressing topics facing our state and nation
