Center for Social Ontology Grand Opening

Housed at the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, the Center for Social Ontology is the first center for the study of social ontology in the United States. In honor of the opening of the Center, Professor John Searle will give a lecture on the foundations of social ontology, followed by a lecture by Professor Loic Wacquant. 

This lecture will be held on Friday, September 9 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in UC Berkeley's Banatao Auditorium. Admission is open to University faculty, staff and students. Registration is required.  Seating is limited.

A free reception with light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres in the Kvamme Atrium will follow from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
