Over the last few election cycles, IGS has partnered with California Choices and a host of other nonpartisan and nonprofits groups to inform Californians about their ballot choices.

Through the website CaliforniaChoices.org, IGS librarians Nick Robinson, Paul King and Julie Lefevre work hard to provide non-partisan background information on all of the state propositions and links to the most recent traditional news and multimedia outlets.

“We want to make it easier to understand for voters,” said Nick Robinson, head librarian at IGS. “The information from the Attorney General’s office can be a little legalistic for what people really want, or need.”

Relying on non-partisan information from California’s Secretary of State and Attorney General and the official voter guide information booklet, IGS distills the arguments for and against the propositions to a quickly accessible guide.
