IGS is proud to announce the publication of the third edition of Governing California: Politics, Government, and Public Policy in the Golden State, a collection of essays by leading scholars from many fields. The new edition of the book, which is used in many courses on California politics and government, includes research analyzing the 2012 election results and the state's newly reformed system of elections. Other chapters provide up-to-date analyses of the state's demography and political geography; finances; the executive, legislative, and judicial branches; local governments; and specific policy challenges facing the state.
