Bio/CV: 

Cynthia Flores is a third year undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Political Science. She earned associate degrees in Political Science and Social & Behavioral Studies from Norco College.

Shaped by her experience in the foster care system, Ms. Flores is deeply committed to advancing equitable and responsive public policy. She has served as a peer mentor for foster youth, supporting students navigating higher education systems, and has been actively involved in student organizations centered on advocacy, academic support, and community. Ms. Flores also completed a 12-week internship at a U.S. Congressman’s Riverside district office, where she worked closely with constituent services and gained firsthand exposure to the policymaking process at the local and federal level. In addition, she currently serves on UC Berkeley’s Housing Peer Review Board, contributing to institutional accountability and student governance and as a public relations associate for the transfer caucus endorsed Joshua Miguel. 

Inspired by the judge who finalized her adoption, Ms. Flores plans to pursue a Juris Doctor degree and a career in public service. She is driven to bridge law and public policy to help design systems that are more accessible, just, and responsive to historically underserved communities.
