Marc A. Levin is the Associate Director of the Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS). From April 1998 until June 2010, he served as IGS Assistant Director and has been employed by UC Berkeley since January 1980.
A cum laude graduate of Gettysburg College with a BA in History, Mr. Levin also holds advanced degrees from the University of Hawaii and the California State University system. Mr. Levin has published numerous journal articles on topics such as the effects of state legislative term limits, advances in legal research, and the information-seeking behavior of government officials.
Mr. Levin serves as the Institute's Deputy Director and Development Director. He has oversight for development and fundraising programs, extramural funding, contracts and grants, academic advancement efforts, major conferences, the visiting scholars' program, and strategic planning initiatives.
