Job title:
Class of 2025
Department:
2024 Schaeffer Fellowship
Bio/CV:

Antonio Cáceres is a third-year student studying history with a minor in public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. Born and raised in Southern California, he has engaged in public service since high school. Most recently, he was a two-time Getty Marrow Undergraduate Intern at El Pueblo Historical Monument and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.

Antonio is currently serving as External Chief-of-Staff for the ASUC Student Advocate’s Office (SAO). SAO is an executive, nonpartisan office that provides free and confidential casework services for students facing issues against the university. As a conduct caseworker with SAO, Antonio has supported students who are accused of misconduct by the Center for Student Conduct and helped them navigate university conduct processes. In his current role, Antonio has worked to expand the reach of SAO’s services on campus and to pass a university bereavement policy for students. Through the Schaeffer Fellowship Program, Antonio hopes to gain further hands-on experience working in a government office to further important policies that would benefit Californians.
