Arianna Valentina Laolagi, a first-generation Latine student at UC Berkeley, is a dedicated leader and change-maker for her communities. Born and raised in an Immigrant household in Burbank, California, the issues that she has grown most passionate about are the ones that have directly affected her family. After graduation, Arianna is committed to reforming the Housing Crisis and Immigration Policy, and she plans to do so through public service whether that be through government work or social movement organizing. In high school, she led multiple outreaches into the houseless community, bringing houseless citizens home-cooked meals and hygienic necessities. In order to keep these outreaches consisent for two years, she organized a food bank. Amidst the heat of the pandemic, she organized a drive-through grocery giveaway that fed over 80 families. As an Intern on the Hill, Arianna plans to continue her work through serving Congressional Offices that actively tackle these issues she is most passionate about. On campus, Arianna has demonstrated tremendous leadership in the organizations she is part of. She is committed to uplifting the Latine community at Cal to demystify professional development and help these students overcome barriers. She has done so by serving on three prestigious executive boards as the Internal Vice President for the Premier Pre Law Fraternity at Berkeley, Kappa Alpha Pi, the Executive Marketing Chair for the largest Latine organization at Cal, the Latin American Leadership Society, and now, she is on the founding board for Unidad en Educación as the Executive Media Coordinator.
