For the past 20 years, Jeff Raimundo has developed and supervised every aspect of political and public affairs campaigns, from public opinion polling to news media relations to campaign execution – with a special emphasis on message development and themes that resonate with the public, whether through traditional or interactive media.

A principal of Townsend Raimundo Besler & Usher for more than 15 years, his focus has been on developing targeted communications strategies and messages and executing political, public affairs and news media relations strategies for government, political and private enterprise clients. He has helped manage numerous statewide and local political and public affairs campaigns.

For the past 10 years, Mr. Raimundo has become particularly expert in managing and winning transportation, school and local government finance ballot measure campaigns. His campaigns have included sales tax measures for transportation in San Diego, San Bernardino and Sacramento, a three-county bond measure for earthquake safety improvements to BART and local housing, library and school construction bond measures in Sacramento.

He is the creative force behind numerous political and public affairs campaigns, conceiving and writing winning brochures and advertisements. He is a specialist in writing or creating ballot arguments, speeches, op-ed articles, blog postings, press materials and Web content. He also provides media training for corporate executives and elected officials.

Before joining TRB&U, he served as a newspaper editor, reporter and political writer for the Sacramento Bee and McClatchy Newspapers in California and Washington, D.C. for more than 20 years.

He has taught courses in politics, communications, news reporting and writing at California State University, Sacramento, and the University of California Extension Service.

He received his B.A. degree in journalism from California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Raimundo is a member of the Board of Directors of Cottage Housing Inc., is former president of the Sacramento Public Library Foundation and previously served on the board of the Sacramento City Education Foundation.
