Lachlan is an undergraduate Political Science student at the University of California, Berkeley. He grew up in the far north of California, living with his father (an immigrant from Scotland), mother (a lifetime Californian resident from the central valley), and brother. During high school, Lachlan studied at College of the Redwoods and developed a deep, lasting interest in the discipline of Political Science, particularly American Government and Political Theory. He is currently planning on attaining a graduate certification to fulfil his aspiration of returning to the community college setting and becoming an educator. This is motivated by a belief both in the value of the California Community College system as well as the perennial importance of education in Political Science.
