Bio/CV: 

León Felix Gutierrez was born and raised in Fresno, CA, son to immigrant parents. He is a first-generation student studying legal studies and public policy. From early on in his childhood, he was surrounded by a vibrant working community where he learned endless perseverance and diligence. He is very grateful for the support he has received from his family and friends on his academic and professional journey.

León is involved in numerous community-based organizations where he has deepened his passion for the intersections of law and public service. He has participated in various programs including but not limited to; Bay Area Justicecorps, ASUC Student Legal Clinic, and Legal Aid at Work. From his experiences working with people from countless backgrounds, León learned the importance of fostering trust, understanding diverse perspectives, and finding solutions. These principles have not only shaped his approach to community-based legal work but have also inspired a broader interest in national security and foreign affairs. Witnessing the challenges of a more interconnected and complex world, León has seen how social, economic, and political factors contribute to conflict and insecurity. 

He hopes to continue his community-based work while furthering his understanding and participation in national security and foreign affairs.
