Omar Espinoza is a first-year Political Science student at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. He supports campus governance and student advocacy through his work in the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), serving in the Executive Vice President's Office as an Executive for ASUC Relations. In this role, he conducts weekly outreach to all ASUC sSenators and departments, manages relationships with registered student organizations and constituents seeking support, and leads the office's “passion projects” that creates initiatives designed to uplift the broader Berkeley community . Omar also maintains the ASUC Impact Tracker, coordinating updates and ensuring that initiatives are backdated so the ASUC can communicate outcomes. Additionally, he founded a large-scale student entrepreneurship pitch competition that awarded over $17,000 to students seeking to start a business. Omar also has political organizing experience, dedicating over 20 hours per week during California’s Proposition 50 campaign and participating in phone banking and canvassing for the 2024 presidential Election in California’s tough Central Valley political scene.  Omar is seeking a summer 2026 internship focused on constituent services and community outreach, working with congressional offices or USDA-related teams to ensure that the experiences of agricultural and working-class communities that feed our nation shape policy outcomes
