Mr. Rosenthal is Chair of Kelley Drye and one of the most respected international trade and government relations lawyers in the United States. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee, and he previously served as managing partner of the Washington, D.C. office and co-chair of the Government Relations and Public Policy practice group.
With more than 40 years of experience, Mr. Rosenthal assists a wide variety of companies and industries, including manufacturing, technology, and food and agriculture. He regularly appears before U.S. trade agencies and courts of jurisdiction and has participated in hundreds of agency and court proceedings. He has represented clients in disputes involving the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), as well as in the development of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and other multilateral and bilateral negotiations.
Mr. Rosenthal's government relations practice involves trade and non-trade issues before Congress and the Executive Branch. He also acts as general counsel or Washington counsel to several international and national trade associations and served as counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs for more than five years.
A Berkeley alum, Paul maintains an active pro bono practice. He serves as chair of the advisory board of the Robert T. Matsui Center for Politics and Public Service at UC Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies and chair of the advisory board of the University of Iowa Institute for Vision Research.
