Bio/CV: 

Steven Guevara is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a B.A. in Economics as a transfer student. Academic interests center on public policy, inequality, and economic mobility, with a focus on how institutional systems can better support historically underrepresented and transfer students.

At UC Berkeley, involvement is rooted in transfer student advocacy, community outreach, and basic needs accessibility. Particular attention is given to improving onboarding processes for transfer students, increasing transparency around housing and financial resources, and expanding inclusive programming that addresses food security, housing stability, and student well being. 

Leadership experience has been shaped by years of involvement in student government and campus organizing. These roles have included supporting student engagement, mentoring student leaders, coordinating large scale events, and collaborating with campus stakeholders to improve communication, access, and participation across diverse student communities. .

Driven by a strong commitment to public service and social equity, the goal is to leverage education and leadership experience at UC Berkeley to strengthen student support systems, elevate transfer student voices, and contribute to meaningful change both on campus and beyond.
