Bio/CV: 

Richard Zeng is a second-year Political Science major at the University of California, Berkeley, with a minor in Public Policy. Passionate about improving transportation infrastructure through the democratization of public policy, Richard has worked in various student-led policy institutes, creating policy briefs that focus on the creation of climate-conscious energy policy. Richard currently serves as the Executive of Legislation for the Associated Students of the University of California’s Senator Margaret Solomon, where he leads a legislative team that creates student legislation ranging from microaggression training to collaborating with Vice Chancellor Steve Sutton on implementing bike infrastructure across campus. Richard is a writer and editor for multiple Democratic-leaning editorial news organizations, where his work has focused on youth-oriented political strategies and international policy solutions to address domestic policy gaps. He seeks a summer policy internship opportunity at organizations like the Center for American Progress and the Brookings Institution to contribute to Domestic and International Policy, such as transportation infrastructure investment and economic development that promotes ingenuity and connectivity between Americans.
