Bio/CV:

Christian is a driven, first-generation student at UC Berkeley majoring in political science with a minor in public policy. Being raised in Los Angeles, California, Christian has become passionate about addressing the historically discriminatory systems that shape the access to opportunities and resources for many individuals. He is particularly interested in creating immigration reform and keeping families together, strengthening our human rights, and investing in early education.

During his time at UC Berkeley, Christian has been an active member in the Berkeley community by becoming an advocate and representative for first-generation students across campus. He recently served as the Leadership Development Chair for Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law & Government Fraternity, where he co-created and facilitated a semester-long leadership and professional development curriculum for 16 aspiring pre-law students. He has also previously served as a mentor in the NAVCAL Fellowship, where he supported a cohort of non-traditional, first-generation students to grow professionally and personally as they navigated UC Berkeley.
He has also been involved in the Latine Pre-Law Society as a Co-Director for Internal Affairs, College Corps as a K-12 Fellow, and in the Robert T. Matsui Center for Politics and Public Service as the Student Ambassador and the 2024 Democracy Camp Student Director.

Through his dedication in serving the community, Christian was awarded a 2024 Chancellor's Award for Public Service: The Robert J. and Mary Catherine Birgeneau Recognition Award for Service to Undocumented Students, which honors student allies for their continuous support and advocacy on-and-off campus for undocumented students. Christian was also awarded the Cal Alumni Leadership Award, which recognizes and supports Cal student leaders across campus for leadership in their community.

Outside of UC Berkeley, Christian is currently interning in the Office of Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-28) as a Legislative & Press Intern. He is also a California Service Corps (CSC) Alumni Fellow, where he is currently building a new way for CSC alumni to stay connected and grow as leaders through public service.

He wishes to continue demonstrating unwavering dedication to supporting others through advocacy, leadership, and community.
