Fatima Michell Morales

Job title:
Class of 2026
Department:
2025 Democracy Camp in DC
Bio/CV:

Fatima Michell Morales (she/her)

Fatima Morales is a first generation, low income, Latina double majoring in Political Science and Economics.

When not devoted to her studies, Fatima is one of the K-12 Recruitment and Development Co-Coordinators for the Raíces Recruitment and Retention Center. She has had the opportunity to not only serve underprivileged, low-income, Latine K-12 students, but also assist in programming for current students of color at Cal. She aims to continuously promote and demystify higher education, similarly to how her family has encouraged her to continue studying to ultimately achieve a career that would help the broader community.

Last summer, Fatima had the privilege of interning for her Congressional District Representative, Norma J. Torres (CA-35). Here, she assisted multiple constituents with casework, while also learning about local, state, and federal government.

Fatima’s long-term career goals have consisted of going to law school, passing the California bar, becoming a practicing attorney, and ultimately a judge. Her time at Cal and her internship sparked a curiosity to broaden her horizons and learn about additional opportunities in her current field of study, specifically those that are present at the federal level.
