Robert Toyama is the IGS Library’s part-time cataloger. He is responsible for creating metadata and bibliographic records to make the library’s collections discoverable in UC Library Search. He is also the Cataloging Coordinator at the Ethnic Studies Library, processing library materials for the Asian American Studies Collection, Chicano Studies Collection, Native American Studies Collection, and the Comparative Ethnic Studies Collection.   Robert received a BA in French and Art History at San Francisco State University, and an MLIS from UC Berkeley. Robert has studied many dances from around the world: the favorite is Traditional Haitian. In addition, Robert is a 3rd degree black belt in Yoshinkai Aikido.
