Joselen Contreras is an ambitious and determined individual who has recently started her freshman year at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been awarded the highly coveted Regents' and Chancellor Scholarship, which reflects her commitment to academic excellence. Majoring in public health, she is eager to make a significant impact on healthcare and community well-being.

Despite coming from humble beginnings, Joselen's upbringing instilled in her a sense of purpose and a strong drive to improve the lives of those who are often overlooked and marginalized. Her dedication to social betterment is evident in her active participation in local and international non-profit organizations, especially those focused on advancing youth education. She believes that education is a powerful catalyst for positive change and strives to empower young minds to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Joselen's passion for public health is not just an academic pursuit, but is also rooted in her desire to affect real-world change. She aspires to contribute to the healthcare administration and public policy field, confronting systemic challenges and striving to improve healthcare access and outcomes for individuals from all walks of life, especially those in her Latinx community who have been historically underserved.
