Melody Gu is a fourth-year Urban Studies major with a focus in transportation planning and Geospatial Information Sciences. Using a growing abundance of digital information, she hopes to use data science to influence public policy decisions and improve disadvantaged communities. She has previously interned at the Metropolitan Policy Program at The Brookings Institution, where she worked on the "Innovation Districts" project. Upon graduation, she hopes to work as a Transportation Planner to develop accessible, efficient, and sustainable roadways and transit systems.
